If you can no longer visit a KRL branch because of age or disability you may qualify for Outreach Services. Outreach Services provides regular visits to homebound patrons in their homes, at care centers, in group homes and retirement communities. An Outreach Specialist will bring you books, audiobooks, large print books and library materials according to your needs. Applications are available at any KRL branch or call 360-405-9123 to request one.

OUTREACH SERVICES

Outreach Services also provides a deposit collection to various senior facilities throughout Kitsap County. This collection of large print books is changed on a monthly basis and is available for all residents of the facility to enjoy. For more information call 360-405-9180.

Bookmobile Services are offered primarily in the rural areas of Kitsap County where there are fewer branch libraries. The Bookmobile, a branch library on wheels, makes twenty-seven stops every two weeks and provides:

  • books for readers of all ages
  • audiotapes and videotapes
  • current magazines
  • reserve service for requested items

Items that are checked out on the Bookmobile may be returned to other branches.

For further information about Bookmobile service, please call 360-405-9112.
